#1. Oil consumption...Ford fixed the issue and there is a TSB on it.
#2. Liqui Moly Cycle...Engine flush--->Motor Oil Saver->Ceratec. So use engine flush which is 1.5 cans and 15 minutes at idle than change oil. Next add Motor oil saver. Run the oil for at least 3000 miles before changing. Change oil when its time. Add Ceratec. The amount to add according to Liqui Moly is 6% of the volume. Repeat cycle every 30000 miles. Basically 1) clean, 2) recondition seals and 3) coat. I have found that anything by Liqui Moly works well for its intended task.
#3. I have absolutely had it with 0W20, 5W20 and 5W30...etc...Im right now at 5W40. 5W50 or thicker seems like something for really hot weather. In any event all oils thinner than 5W40 have been evicted from the garage. Not welcome here.
