Gonna have a thread going. I finish the sale next weekend picked up cheap. Needs a few small things and improvements. I know boats are a poor life choice. I love them.

I respectfully disagree, I believe as long as you can afford the boat, enjoying the hobby as the fruits of your efforts is an EXCELLENT life choice! But again, I may not be the best example of restraint.

Sounds like a great project, good luck! Silverton's are well made boats. What is the power?

I am actually looking at similar cruisers as a longer term project, (un)fortunately a new career opportunity will probably delay that:)

Looks nice. But I'll bet there are more "little things" to be found.

Check the safety stuff like shore power cords, shore power inlet on boat. Is 110V ground bonded to 12V ground? Is the galvanic isolator a "fail closed" one?

No duct tape or wire nuts?
