Costco gasoline?

It's fresh and it seems to be up to the rated octane....it's inexpensive....so we use it with no issues.

Thank God you don't have to haul 500 gallons home...

I have seen gas being delivered from several different independents to COSTCO. Nevertheless, we have had good results from using their fuel.

Talk to the local fuel tanker dudes, they'll tell you what it is. Around here it's Tesero (TSO), same as Safeway stores. I'm sure every area is different though. We don't do oxyegenated or 10% alc around here so all the fuels seems OK. Except ARCO.

I would take Terry Dyson's advice, procure the cheapest gasoline possible (Costco/Sam's Club)and use fuel power with it consistently. This way if you get "bad gas", it should not be a problem.

I have been using Costco gas about 90% of the time for the last two years in a '02 CRV-EX and a '03 Accord LX with no problems whatsoever. I just add a little FP at each fillup in the Accord and about every 4th fillup in the CRV.

I've used Costco gas a few times but the savings are not worth the wait. Their gas is usually only a penny or 2 cheaper than I can get it for at my usual stations (Northern NJ).

To me saying that you use gas and have "no problems" does not say much. It seems like there are two ways to know if your gas is good.

1. Use any type of gas (preferrably the cheapest) and use "fuel power"

2. Use one of the "top Tier" gasolines. www.toptiergas.com

All gas meets the rated Octane numbers. The only differentiator in gasoline is the additives to keep your injectors/fuel system clean. Right?

I own four vehicles and they all get Costco gas. The only time any of them ever see any other gas is when I'm traveling. For example, my wife's 96 Volvo 850 Turbo-Wagon has 137k miles and has only seen Costco gas except for the odd trip. The local Costco station has about 20 pumps, sees a tanker two the three times a week and is about twenty cents a gallon cheaper. Clean good gas from a high volume station at the cheapest price in town, that's a good deal.

My car has seen Costco and Rotten Robbie gas, it runs fine, i throw a bottle of SI-1 in it on occasion. For some weird reason, it guzzles Chevron.

I've used it without any problems...just need to fill-up at off peak hours to avoid the long lines. Costco seems to have high standards for their private label brands..and I don't think gasoline would be any different.

I have never had any problems with the gas at Costco. It seemed like there was ALWAYS a truck there making a delivery (near where we used to live). I asked the attendant how often they got deliveries. His answer: Four loads per day!!

That's a LOT of gas!

Steve
