Corollas aren't hard on oil. This isn't a sludge-prone '00 model you're talking about. You can put just about anything in there with regular OCIs, and the engine will last longer than you want to keep it.
I've got a '95 Corolla with 214,000 miles. It has seen primarily SuperTech 5W- and 10W-30 motor oil and SuperTech filters. Yes, the cheap stuff, and no flushes or additives. I've recently changed to an oversized AC Delco PF-53 filter (intended for the V6 Toyota engine) and SuperTech 10W-40 oil and this car runs like a champ.
