Audi calls for 10k intervals on my new S4 (supercharged DI 3.0 V6) but I plan to change every 5k. Audi Care will take care of the 10k changes at no charge. Car has 26k on the clock right now.
Since this car is my first real expedition into forced induction, what special considerations do I need to take into account when picking an oil? Note that it also has the Stasis ECM so it's putting out 410hp/370lb-ft versus the stock 333/325. Audi requires a 502/505 oil for this car and it's still under warranty for several more years. I suspect the dealer has been using the SLX Professional up until now.
By the way, this motor has a redesigned EGR/PCV system that does not suffer from carbon buildup like the older motors do.
And yes, I do take full advantage of that power regularly. The car isn't a DD, mostly a weekend/errand car.
