Comparisons of filtering ability.

It would be nice if they had both, to be honest. I'd gladly use the grey can or the XG. Unfortunately, Walmart's competition doesn't price them as well as Walmart does; on the other hand, we don't have a lot of Purolator availability here, and it's nice to have a bit of choice.
I would assume that would mean they're getting rid of the Bosch filters, too, correct? I'm beginning to wonder if Walmart didn't have some supply issues with Purolator and Bosch. I know when Walmart first started stocking Purolator and Bosch, other vendors were having a terrible time getting them in. Places were out of stock for months.

Walmart might have been cleaning out all the stock and other retailers got the shaft.
I like fram so it doesn't hurt my feelings. The motomaster/Canadian tire branded oil filter is a rebadged tough guard which makes them a great deal at 3 and 4 bucks each.

Huh? Purolator Classic is rated 97.5%@20um for majority applications, Pure One is rated 99.9%@20um for majority applications, both based on ISO 4548-12 testing on box and website.
The answer is because the referenced gmc basement test results as previously stated, as proven by ISO testing, lacks both test validity and reliability. That also explains why the patch test showed different results for the same media Wix-Napa Gold and Extra Guard-High Mileage, also as proven by published ISO testing.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. My online supplier was out of the run of the mill Bosch part numbers for a rather long time. I don't know about up in Saskatoon, but the one Canadian Tire I go to here shrank its filter section down like crazy.

Yep, Partsource is still well stocked. I don't even bother with CT when I want a Fram air filter for my G. They won't have them.
