I've seen Citroen SUVs and Skoda SUVs with South American plates here in Houston. Well not often, I would say once in a blue moon.

This is part of Carlos Tavares brand vision. He knows that with the many brands that Stellantis has that he has to provide more brand differentiation now more than ever before.......no more "badge engineering". The Dodge Hornet is a re-branded Alfa model, but he has granted Dodge the ability to create value add extensions for Direct Connection, and software definitions for the Hornet that will allow it to have subtle differentiations beyond the Alfa version.

With the different Stella EV platforms his vision is to give each brand access to a "roller skate" platform that they in turn can further refine to make a unique vehicle to what that brand represents in the markets and locales that they serve.

Down in South America and other similar countries there are a ton of tiny manual transmission hatchbacks that we don't get here. Super basic, but gets the job done.
