Commercials that you hate.

Does anyone in the Philly area that is old as dirt remember...

Call for action... Greenwood 75312
The number for the plumber

It's been more than 50 years since I've heard that and unfortunately, it's still in my head. Was it the same one where the guy had his wife lip-syncing " that's the number for the plumber" part of the jingle? Or was that Vic the plumber? That one seemed to be a homemade commercial. I wasn't in Phila. but watched nearly all Phila. TV. The old channel 48 Kaiser station was a legendary UHF station. Charlie Chan flicks to roller derby. Yes, I'm as old as most dirt.

I was in eastern MD. And we here did everything Philly...Baltimore was the same distance but this was Philly country..
Yes the guy had his wife on the commercial just as you say.

Same here...it will always be in my head even though I don't try to think about it. Yes it was a homemade low dollar production...lol

They were on Mill street in Bristol PA.

There is a Hispanic woman who advertised her furniture store on our local TV. You have no idea what she is saying in her broken English and her voice is like finger nails being racked across a black board. Nationwide I dislike the constant commercials for medicine, woman's personal items, and the woke ones that must have a white woman with a black guy. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.
