Sorry that happened and glad you're OK! Maybe this was kind of a blessing in disguise; if you wanted to do anything in the mountains, it would have been abysmal. We have record snowpack and a cold spring; the snow is just now melting, the streams/rivers are all flooding etc. Any hiking/sightseeing above timberline would have been sketchy. Mid July is a great time to visit CO as the snowpack has mostly melted out, high mountain areas are easily accessible, and stream levels get back to normal.
