Coffee - Your Current Brew

First of all decent taste for $4.59. 9? Probably about right. But definitely not as smooth as Peets. And more edgy than Lavazza.

The capsules are made in Canada, coffee roasted there too.

Some capsules are NOT pressurized. Bummer, but others very much so. I brewed up three pressurized caps. They are unique construction. Neither Al or plastic. Some biodegradable material. One capsule came apart on the larger exit end. Hmmm.

Coffee was low acid, not as harsh as expected. Some body. I will use in my blends.

Shame I have to drive 1.5 hours to my nearest Trader Joe’s

Some PEETS whole bean fresh ground goodness to start the day.

A month ago the Thermal Carafe of my Technivorm Moccamaster took a spill and broke the glass inner lining. Leaks out of the bottom. It has been discarded. I have all the rest of the brewer. It works great. Did a descaling before taking out of service this morning. Rinsed twice. My intention is to offer this to someone locally for FREE! The meetup will be at the Hy-Vee store in Liberty, MO Easy on and off of I-35.

A new carafe is $85 on Amazon.

That's a shame. I'm glad I have the older models with no glass lining.
I need to give them a thorough cleaning every 2 weeks by filling them with hot water and putting a dishwasher tab in and letting them soak for 2 hours. Looks brand new inside after a thorough rinse

My favorite local cafe sunday morning going to a ride before the heat hits.
They serve a solid cup at a fair price.
Pretty sure they buy from a local roaster called carolines.

I'm going through a variety box of Starbucks medium roast k-cups on the weekends and finishing up a few smaller bags of ground Major during the week. Got a bunch of ground coming soon.

28 ounce bag of Peet's Breakfast blend, 2-18 ounce bags of the Major, 4-18 ounce bags of Starbucks Italian roast, 6-10.5 ounce bags of Peet's French roast and a 28 ounce bag of Peet's French roast. Should hold me over for a few months.

The Major is good stuff. Have a 2lb. bag of Major beans waiting for me in the cabinet of our beach house. It's even better when Costco has it for $5 off.

Agreed! I usually put all this stuff in my Amazon cart and wait for prices to drop, or get the extra 20% S&S, etc... I do ground though. Don't have a grinder at home and don't have the space for one either.

Velvetty, sweet, berries, lemongrass. I brewed it cold and bold. The unique taste is spectacular. From the hills of southern Myanmar, state of Shan. My favorite beans have always been from this area, chiefly Indonesia. A coarse to medium grind yields a distinct reddish color. The picture does not do it justice.
