just finished another bag of Tim Horton's pre-ground Columbian Med Dark Roast. For $6 on Amazon it is a very decent easy-peasy coffee.

I ground the beans finer today and reduced the ratio from 16:1 to 15:1. It was an improvement over my first brew. Wife said it had notes of tomato and jujube (red date) .
I couldn't detect tomato, but enjoyed drinking it black.
I've often pondered this question. How can something that smells so good taste so bad?

Ordered this off Amazon recently. A different take on easy-peasy coffee. Smells great brewing. $9.19 for 18 oz
How does it compare to the Tim Horton bag you recently finished?
I had my 3 shot choco-Americano different this AM. No chocolate!
I just poured over pure organic powdered coconut milk from Grocery Outlet and made up with boiling water and then a shot of half-half. Delicious!!

Has more body but not as smooth. A bit darker roast even though Tim Horton's is advertised as medium dark. Both have lots of bloom and crema in the brew basket, the Peet's crema is thicker. Both drink well and leave a pleasant reminder on the tongue. Started out using 5 grams more than normal with pre ground coffee. Will back off to my normal 55 grams of pre-ground for 44 oz of water and see who wins. The Tim Horton's is $5.08 on S&S.
WEGMANS brand. Finished up some Trader Joe’s blend last night
I bought a bag of that a few months ago to try.
Absolutely terrible.
I thought it might be good because I liked the Peet’s Alameda Morning Blend medium roast quite a bit, but no dice.
The remainder of the bag is still in the cabinet.
Was it old? Over roasted?? What was bad about it?

My bag is good. Just finished a mug and even the last gulp was tasty and it was reheated some, out of the thermal carafe on low power, in my Panasonic Inverter microwave. Didn't look at my date but noticed the one-way valve had completely removed all the air in the bag.
I've found Wegmans whole bean varieties to be excellent overall. I like their Espresso Roast for my Gaggia Brera. Relatively dry, fresh dark roast beans that work very well in a super automatic.
Thanks for the tip @Cropduster172 , I will check out the coffee aisle next time I'm at Wegmans.

With notes of Cheer I wondering if they put Coca leaves in the blend.
LOL. So far, it isn't wowing me. It's a little bitter.
Are those items the ingredients for the famous Pablo choco-Americano? What's the peanut butter for?
