Coffee - Your Current Brew

Medium dark roast.
Roast date 10.29.24 .
Certified organic.
Stumptown out of Portland, Oregon.
This is premium quality product.
I do slow 48-72 hour cold brewing with a Meuller Cold Brew Coffee Maker, to lower the acid.
The flavor is intensified, and features classic Ethiopian qualities of floral notes with honey and citrus.
Ethiopia is where coffee was first discovered.
Ethiopia, and Africa as a whole, is my favorite coffee terroir.

No pics, but I recently found a new local coffee joint. I love brick and mortar coffee shops especially ones that are locally owned and that take business from a STARBUCKS!
Hands down I found my new favorite K-cup that is much closer to an artisan blend than a mass produced one. Rothrock Coffee company right outside of State College PA is the place, and my K-cup of choice is their "Gravel Road, dark roast". I do this in K-cups then also Whole Bean, and you CAN have it shipped. https://rothrockcoffee.com/

They do subscriptions and the whole deal, usually with free shipping. Cant go wrong! On location they do a few different green drinks as well. I've only tried one of these, just yesterday, and it was solid! It was exactly what you would want it to be...

Disclosure:
During the work week I am a utilitarian coffee drinker, meaning its a morning tool and must posses a certain level of efficiency and effectiveness. So in short, during the work week its K-cups for us.

When we are not rushing out to work and have time to enjoy coffee, well then its more about a coffee experience with efficiency being much further down the list in terms of prep and brew.

Today I received this month's subscription order from Peet's. I'm curious about how sweet it may be considering the candy notes mentioned in the flavor profile. Apart from the monthly surprise of not knowing just what I'll be receiving, the coffee is very fresh. Often it's been roasted only three days or so before I receive it. In this case, it's been six days. It'll be a few days before I try it as there are still some beans from last months delivery in the grinder hopper.

I love Brazil way more than most acidic fruity African coffees.
Same here... for yrs Brazil was considered just a mass producer of decent arabica, but some of their dry process offerings are top notch I choose over most any origin. These days I seek out DP Brazil and Yemen, not much else as it's untouchable for my taste.

Nice. A buddy bought a $3000+ espresso machine and honestly he serves the worst sour nasty coffee I ever tasted. He is no listener so I just decline his coffee now.
Cost doesn't mean much if quality/fresh coffee, balanced water is lacking. Not to mention the skill set needed to crank out quality espresso consistently regardless of equipment being used.

I suggested in a super nice way, like "did you ever try ordering, or Peet's or _________ beans" - something other than Costco whatever beans. OK, fine. I'll keep my mouth closed.
