Coffee makers...what works best for you?

Always Keurig that way it's a cup at a time unless I am making a pot for the road which the Keurig also does. I used to be exceptionally snobby about it but alas life has other plans. I don't drink for the caffeine more so the ritual & taste in the morning. I may go back to grinding my own beans for the occasional french press cups. I haven't had a burr grinder in a while.

Yep, for one and done - and on the run - KCup beats the sun 😎
(I get outside at sunrise) …

I have a Kenmore that I bought at Sears .com and I like it but I use the 4 cup button to make it stronger. It starts itself in the morning and its ready by 6 am. Best taste is from a percolator like the Sunbeam though. I have one but my wife hates finding a coffee ground.

Every time I've tried Kirkland/Costco coffee it's been disgusting, old, nasty burnt, stale, sour, inferior beans. I just won't ever buy it again.

Dude bought a $3000 Espresso machine, made me a cup with Costco beans. Not even drinkable.

Sorry.
Their supplier for at least their House Blend used to be Starbucks. Not any more. I believe most of their house varieties under the Kirkland Signature brand name are from San Francisco Bay Coffee Company:

Kind of interesting that Keurig Dr. Pepper now owns Peet's and all of it's brands:

After trying a number of options, this is what I have come to appreciate.

Grind the beans very fine, use 1 teaspoon per cup of water, bring to boil watching not to spill (it will be a very fast process from normal to spilled) and enjoy a very strong coffee in an espresso cup.

I don't like coffee grounds either. I found that using one or two flat filters in the bottom where coffee goes. Then use one of the basket style filters with the ground coffee, then a slightly finer grind and no more grounds when using a percolator. A burr grinder is also a must.

Prior to that I had a Braun coffee maker that lasted almost 17 years. The tank developed a leak and started to mess up the counter due to the water leaking on it.
Retired our Braun after more than twenty years.
Made good coffee but one morning simply decided to work no longer.
Replaced it with a little Hamilton Beach that makes decent coffee, purchased NIB from a thrift store for all of five bucks.

I have only used Farberware stainless steel, Pyrex/glass percolators and automatic drip type of coffee makers.
A long time ago, I tried grinding my beans for my morning coffee and did in fact notice a great difference in the taste of my coffee.
However, it made such a mess all over the counter top that I just stopped doing that. Now as before, I just brew strong coffee in the morning to my liking and I'm happy! :D

1 teaspoon per 8oz water? seems extremely weak  not strong?

I will never not own one of these. Fast, hot, high quality.
You definitely get spoiled by the speed ! When we go on vacation or something and the condo has a non-Bunn drip coffee maker, we seem to end up standing at the machine waiting and waiting for it to finish. 😆

I believe I've almost perfected my brew too. My coffee from home is generally my favorite vs coffee shops (I will get a "fancy" coffee there anyway, not regular brew), restaurants, etc.
That's a lot to pay for convenience.
Yeah, convenience costs money. 🤷‍♂️

For at least 20 years I’ve used a Black and Decker single serve Brew And Go, but instead of the reusable mesh basket I use a paper filter. I never drink more that one cup at a time.

Coffee is easily my biggest vice, same with my wife so we have to be able to make it in quantity. The typical 12 "cup" (are they serious?) carafe is usually enough, but for health reasons I cut it 50/50 with decaf. I won't lie there have been days when the pod function has come in handy, the Mrs is a big fan of a cup after dinner.
