Christmas Gift list

I posted this in another thread but I want to remind everyone that the animal shelters need all the help they can get. With the economy what it is a lot of people can not afford to take care of their furry babbies. These little ones give so much love and never ask for anything in return. I have 2 beautiful and loving little guys that were abandoned (a lab and a cocker). I gave a check to the local shelter instead of buying gifts for people that really don't need anything. For the people I care about I am making candy, cookies and fruitcake.

Help fund a small business loan to someone around the world. It's a win-win, they get the money to get started, you get paid back and feel like you actually made a difference in this world.

I like this because it's different, you get paid back and you choose where your money goes. Often times with some of these charities I wonder exactly what/where is my donation going, with this there is no doubt.

I like that much better. Maybe I'll do both. Give sheep to a family, AND make a couple loans. Both seem to be better than just handing money out. Indeed, giving cash to bigger outfits means salaries for folks in HQ.

What is the website where you can lookup charities to see what HQ gets, how much actually gets used for its intended purpose, president's salary, etc.?
