That is a great beer.They also have my favorite Tsingtao beer.
Most of the stuff isn't really true chinese food, as it's not really things Chinese families regularly eat. It's more like Fusion food, Chinese style food adapted to the American market.Anyone here like American Chinese food?
My favorites are;
Moo Goo Gai Pan, General Tso Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, Sweet And Sour Chicken, Egg Rolls, and Pork Fried Rice.
When I lived in Tampa, FL. there was a big Chinese family owned restaurant near my house. They only had 3 tables to dine at. Their main sales were from take out. Every time I called in an order, be it 1 item, or 10 items, it was always, "10 MINUTE!"
Chinese restaurants will normally give you some grease if you come and get it.Which Chinese food grease makes for the best pistol slide lube ??

This is a huge generalization, but is somewhat true.
MANY Chinese restaurants serve very terrible food, completely loaded with ****. Wife and I are complete suckers for "Hawaiian" food (OK she IS native to Oahu, but I digress) Anyway, we walk in and complete hide the Chinese sausage trick. The place is nothing but another Chinese buffet! And the sauces are 50% CHEAP MSG (not even the good Japanese MSG) - absolutely guaranteed to have a blazing headache in a few hours after eating.
And I don't need to wonder why so many Pho houses are CASH only. I would love to take CASH only. Hint hint
The worst are the Thai restaurants. When Thai and Lao and Hmong and other immigrants first came to Orange County in the 1980's that food was GOOD. I mean REALLY good. But it drifted and fused and now "Thai" food places are the absolute worst. So gross, so not tasty. I don't even know what some of the vomit is they serve. I cannot imagine a Thai restaurant in the midwest or the south.
All this said I lived and traveled in and out of China for 5 years (visa, 3 weeks in at a pop) The food was basically what the richest people ate in each province, pretty good chow, always felt good and healthy. Sometimes the food at factory cafeterias was OK, some of the smaller factories I would be warned not to eat the food.
Yep!But it drifted and fused and now
Im so old it was " La Choy Makes Chinese Food- Swing American - Why not?"Chun King Makes Chinese Food... Swing American. Still remember those ads probably from the 70's.
