Chevy 3500 V6

My neighbor just bought an '06 Chevy Malibu with the 3500 V6. It has 24,000 miles on it and she wants me to do the oil changes on it. She commutes 25 miles each way to and from work. Any suggestions? I was going to use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a Pure One filter and change them both every 6-7k miles. Sound okay?

Does it have an OLM?

Your plan seems reasonable.

Indeed, with Pennz Platinum, I'd have no qualms about using the OLM. Pennz Platinum has proven to be a capable long drain oil.

I've never owned a car with an Oil Life Monitor so I forgot to even check to see if she had one. I'll bet it does.

I am single I would change an attractive neighbors oil as well, go for it BABY!

I would use what oil and filt you mention and follow the OLM.

If using PP or M1 I'd go with the OLM, especially with her driving profile of 25 miles per typical trip.
