5w-30 in my 22 Charger GT

For those that care, I have been running Castrol EDGE full synthetic 5w30 in both of my 3.6L V6 vehicles since I changed the break in oil @ 500 miles.
Both cars, 2022 Charger and Challenger, have been running perfectly, sharing both the Arizona HOT summers with the So. Cal. mild winters. I change the oil myself every 5k and use WIX filters.
ZERO issues with both cars @ 49,000 + miles on each.

You said Arizona and Ive been there. Yeah its hot! Is the local Dodge dealer using 5W30? I found a link to an auto repair place in Phoenix which is saying 20W50!

I would make a call to a local dealer and ask what viscosity they suggest for that area.

why not just continue with the Castrol edge 5w-30 its good oil,and perhaps run a uoa and see how the oil is performing before any thing else.

For me, dealer would be the last place to ask for oil advice! I go to YouTube for that.

Hmmm... I'm no expert, but 20w50 seems a bit much for Mopar's V6, 3.6L engine. I wouldn't do that.

20w50 can you get that in a synthetic Dexos rating?
