I was just at the dealership today and stopped by parts to pick up an oil filter for my 2.2L Ecotec and was ready to buy it until he told me they are now $9.50. The last time I got one there it was the cheapest I could find it at about $5.50. Even in Walmart they are $8.88 and those seem different. They don't even say Hengst anymore.

I've always looked for the Ac-Delco filters since they seem to feel the best made. I remember a while back a lot of different brands had a problem with twisting under the pressure. Any other suggestions as to where to buy it or what a good replacement is?

Fram makes really good cartridge filters. The 9018 for Eco's is a good filter, should be able to find them on sale somewhere.

I've used the supertech 9018, and the purolator classic and pureone in the 2.2L ecotec.

Found out the purolator classic is $4.85 at fleet farm... decent deal I think.
