Changing oil based on run time.

Hi my question is how often should I change my oil not based of miles but hours of operation, I rack up very little miles, my car idles basically all day. With my dirt bikes I change the oil every 5 hours regardless of miles, and I would like to do the same with my vehicle , does 100 hours seem reasonable? Thanks.

I change the oil in my wife's car between 60 and 100hrs. If it makes it to near 100hrs its pretty rough.

Operating hours versus mileage for oil changes?

Is anyone using engine operating hours instead of mileage for oil changes? I would think that if you spent a lot of time in traffic your operating hours would be high versus your mileage. Therefore low miles but more stress on the oil. Any good studies or experience on this? Thanks
