I had my pretty big stash of Mobil1 0w40, 5w30 extended performance, GC 0W30, supertech synthetic..

And it was all gone in half a week! My stash of Mobil 0w40 was distributed between 3 subarus in my family (05 legacy, 05 STI, 08 STI), GC went in the beetle, supertech in my best friends car, and I forgot where the 5W30 EP went... I was left with an almost empty shelf, and only 5 filters left.

So today I went and got 4quarts of 0w40 for $18 on sale

and the best sale I have seen in a while:
5 quarts of Castrol Edge plus a PureONE filter for $25!!

Has anyone tried the castrol edge?? looking at the specs.. it seems like it's almost a 5w20!! I might have to mix it with some of the 0w40...

Before I fixed my car's PCV, I watched 8 cans of 300V just vaporize in like 3 months. The oil change took 3.5 cans, and the rest were make-up at about 1 qt/600 miles. Not a whole shelf's worth of oil, but when each 2-liter can is worth >$30...

Running right now in my daily driver/tow rig. so far so good
 
This is why I consider oil to more of a consumable like a fuel. Some guys get too excited about their super-fancy pretty boy oils.

I have a massive stash of synth now. It will last a good 2-3-4 years. I also have a pile of empty Delo 30 gallon jugs, maybe 50 of them from my 80G $1/g spree. It comes and it goes.
 
I take care of 3 Ford Taruses, a Ford F-150, a Nissan Xterra and a 1980 Dodge bus.
Yes, things have been turning over quickly for me also. But I also use Dino in most of them and shop for sales.

It's not vaporized...its glued all over the inside of your engine....

I had more. I bought all of the 5 quart jugs of 5w30 they had at a local Walmart when they accepted my offer to purchase them all if they gave me a discount on the already clearance price. I got 9 of them for $9.90 each, on top of the 7 or so individual quarts and 1 5 quart jug I already had. I've used a couple quarts, and gave some to a friend. I think I had 57 total.
