Cavity wax spraying?

Why do some people here at BITOG think that a waxy cavity coating is better than a thin oily one? Like Donald (above), I have witnessed Krown creeping (up, against gravity) 8 or more inches. It's almost magical.

Cost is a major factor for me, the wax in the video in my earlier post is silverhook clear cavity wax and costs £7 for a 1L bottle which is fairly cheap. And got a good offer on the noxudol bottles too I think we're £9 each.
Also wax will not wash off easily , got some on my glasses and it was a big hassle to get it off.
Fluid film and woolwax seem to get good reviews I think they use lanolin which I believe is low Viscosity more like and oil rather than a wax but will need to read up more about it.

What I don't get is that these wax guns like the sealey sg18 don't come with any sort of operating instructions so not sure how to use it properly without some trial and error

I don't know what you mean by wax, the material I use flashes off and gells up. I don't like the thinner oils because of winter here and exposed areas get washed off- you need a persistant coating.

In Canada the better rustproofing sprays come in 2 viscosities. Thin for cavities or channels and thicker for exposed undercarriage

Whats the wax stuff called? Also wouldnt something grease like be better? Stuff like wax is a physical barrier that doesnt "heal"

That's the stuff I used.
Got more used to the sprayer now. Noticed that the trigger travel needs to be reduced for it to mist up properly otherwise too much wax comes out

Finally got round to spraying the noxudol one the car.
Oddly it's still a liquid form on the car and not dried after 3 days. From reading up it's gonna take longer than 5 days and seems to be creeping all over the place. Time will tell how it turns out to be. Hopefully car won't dissolve now

Incase anyone needs to know the 50L 3hp compressor I used had no issues doing the spraying it didn't even cycle much so I suspect a smaller compressor would also work for spraying cavity wax

Maybe a dumb question, but how about just using Fluid Film in spray cans?

This. I prefer Surface Shield, but FF, WoolWax and SS are all better than wax.

Lanolin is far better than wax because it’s self healing and creeps well.

The WoolWax smells quite nice (at least initially) too.

Anyone know what the advantages or disadvantages are of using noxudol 750 Vs 700? The 750 apparently uses solvents
