I'm the second owner of an '04 Ram 1500 4.7. I received it as a gift with 44k it now has 47k and I decided to take out the baffle to take a look inside of it and found it to be full of sludge, not just the feed neck but under the VC itself. The plan is to put in a quart of MMO and dump at 500mi. then put in 5 quarts of PP and 1 of MMO for the next OCI. Seeing as how the 4.7 is a known sludger (due to the feed neck design not the engine itself) I'm going to do 4k/4mo OCIs with the MMO treatment being done once a year.
I can't think of anything else I should do to clean her up and maintain her from this point on if anyone has any experience you are welcome to chime in.
