Soon as I read that, it'll be QS again from now on.Marketing that Mag protected engine 6x, getting demoted to 4x.
Are the competitors oils "unintelligent molecules"?Edge and Edge EP contain the same "intelligent molecules" per Castrol so I'm not sure why I'd even use Magnatec.
It's all marketing anyway. I used PP in my Accord since I purchased it in 2015, just recently switched to M1 with the past oil change, it seems to like it. Maybe give that a try.Soon as I read that, it'll be QS again from now on.
I've been thinking about giving M1 EP a try. It's gotten really pricey here. $30 a jug now. It's all marketing anyway. I used PP in my Accord since I purchased it in 2015, just recently switched to M1 with the past oil change, it seems to like it. Maybe give that a try.

The marketing of "x times better" is usually followed by a reference to a specific industry test. For example - IVA, IIIH.
Marketing is dumbed down. However, most people I've encountered when discussing oil are complete morons.
I also have been contemplating giving M1 EPHM 5w30 a try next oil change which is coming up. But Ive read a few reports about how Mobil oils are noisey and burn in Hondas. Probably just myths though.I've been thinking about giving M1 EP a try. It's gotten really pricey here. $30 a jug now.
I just actually got through reading that very same thing on another forum.I also have been contemplating giving M1 EPHM 5w30 a try next oil change which is coming up. But Ive read a few reports about how Mobil oils are noisey and burn in Hondas. Probably just myths though.
Maybe BP has been reading too much BITOG where we all rave about "smooth and quiet oils" haha!its not 4x the protection
4x smoother.. marketing at its finest.
4x smoother than what?

Back in the day I got the 12 quart case of Synerlec RP for $25Big spender huh? Why not just go all the way and get what you know will be worth it... ROYAL PURPLE![]()
No such issues on mine, or my sisters in fact! She went over 9,000 miles on Mobil 1 0w20 in her 2011 Accord 2.4 with 217,000 miles with no issues.I just actually got through reading that very same thing on another forum.
Ours is just under $30 as well. I run it for about 10 months in the Accord, so an extra $1.00 per month (not even) doesn’t bother me.Same.
Can never go wrong with QS.Soon as I read that, it'll be QS again from now on.
