Castrol GTX Good? Bad?

i used to pick up castrol gtx because it was always the one "on sale" with the oil change specials. i still have some on the shelf, but i will no longer buy it when there is much better oil like quaker state out there which is a MUCH better value.

My family used Castrol GTX 10W-30 for a LONG time, and was hesitant to go to 5W-30..

That said, never an engine problem on it. GM engines, most notably the 3800.
