Cars that should not be a 4 door.

Mini Cooper

Some might think it looks great but something about it just doesn't sit well with me....

If we are going down that rabbit hole, then I'm tossing out the Chevy Nova. This could go on forever... ;)

One of my daughter's boyfriends wrote a book that included a story about riding in the back seat of a Corvette. I said I'll bet you $100 you can't find me a picture of a Corvette with a back seat. Nope I said this is not a bet, I'll pay you $100 for a photo of a Corvette with a back seat. He hasn't collected yet! I think it would be pretty stupid to have a vehicle with 4 doors without a back seat.

So my short list of cars that should never have 4 doors are:
Corvette
Mustang
Camaro
Porsche 911
Porsche Cayman
Porsche Boxster
Mini

Every car my Grandfather bought was a two door, most of them from the sixties on were midsize (for the times) Fords. I never thought to ask him ‘why only two door cars’.

I've sadly ridden in the back of a Porsche 944. I'd say if there isn't enough room for an adult in the back, it should always be a 2 door.
WRX should be a 2 door. Same for Mustang Camaro and Corvette. Some cars shouldn't even have doors. How about a door less Miata or BRZ convertible ?

Wasn't there a cartoon, maybe from the 60s, where the bubble looking top would swivel open so you could climb in and out, it had zero doors.

Agree with all. The Mini, to me - with 4 drs - offends my sense of the aesthetic... and a jacked-up Mini with four doors goes over the top. Now a Fiat 500 4dr, with all wheel drive; don't even get me started 🤮.

My dad only bought 4 door sedans. I never thought of them as cool. He also drove beetles and would have bought a 4 door one if they made it.

Probably why I dislike 4 doors now.

He bought a brand new 1968 valiant when mom was preggo with me and we had it till about 2016 when I sold it.

If it was a 2 door I would have kept it and put a 340 in it.
