Enough of the threads that brag on our cars. What cars do you hate.
My top of the list are Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, Jaguar. Dont care what model. I hate the styling and every one of these thats been in my shop rattles, squeeks and has all kinds of noises coming from the front suspension.
Plus almost any maintenance on these cars is a major undertaking. Volvo's are not as bad usually. I still hate them.
These cars don't "Do" anything or "Excite" me in the least.
Cadillacs with the 4.1,4.5 or 4.9 engines. Another brand thats a maintenance nightmare. The 4.1 used to eat cam and distributer gears. I don't know how many I've had to pull out and replace those parts.
These cars don't "Do" anything or "Excite" me in the least either.
That mid 80's Caddy with the chopped off trunk was awfull looking.
Ford Taurus. The first gen Taurus was ugly. Looked like an inverted bathtub. The PS lines went completly around the engine and always needed replacing.
The tie rod ends were rubberized and needed replacing constantly.
2nd gen Taurus was slightly better. Still an ugly car. I'd never buy one but with a gun held to my head I'd choose one over a Benz or BMW.
97 and newer F150 and Expeditions. Another ugly couple but they are a truck. Many under hood parts are under the windshield. Gawd I hate replacing the AC Accumulators on these.
The flying sparkplugs make me chuckle.
Chevy Suburbans. Pretty much useless unless you need a bus to carry 9 or more people. Why not buy a bus instead? These rattle like an old Jalopy. Atleast the front suspensions seem pretty tough............Untill the PS box breaks the frame.
Other notable cars I hate are Lexus, Saabs, VW's that have a radiator, Audi.
73-87 GM trucks. The doors on these never shut right and they eat ball joints. Just take a trip to your local landfill to see these trucks broken down on the side of the road, loaded with trash and with a front wheel laying over.
Jeep Grand Cherokees. Blend doors that break and electric radiator fans that fail. They had a whole car with plenty of places to put the electric fan relay. Why did they put it behind the bumper?
Thats all I can think of now. Rant off
