Carcarenut picks M1 over TGMO for GR Corolla

Comment deleted.. Apparently it struck some noives.
Not worth it.
Nope, no nerves, I just know that I actively participate in those discussions regarding MOFT, including both of the recent ones, but have no issue using 0W-20 in my 1500, which spec's 5W-20. Just poking some fun at how some of this is perceived and apparently stereotyped.

Let me be the first to ask... what is a wave noodle mistress? That sounds a bit freaky.

And in the context of our discussion, 0W-20 might be a heavy oil for Toyota. Aren't they specifying 0W16 in some hybrids?
They do, as well as naturally aspirated 4cyl non-hybrids. Which means 0W20 is minimum they can get away with. Otherwise, they would spec. 0W16 in a heartbeat.

I was just using some "daddy-o" coooool language, lol. You know, those progressive jazz "cats" talking bout the "squares" with their starched cloths and stuffy music taste ;) A new wave noddle mistress would be some super skinny gal, some folks, the curves and cushion type, seem to prefer their oil being more J-Lo than crack-hoe 😁

Yeah, that's meth'd up.

Just having a bit of fun on a very snowy Sunday :D

Yup, they sure are, but I assume they've made adequate design adjustments in those cases so that it's safe. Similar to what Honda discussed needing to do, which I mentioned in both those threads I noted participating in, in my post above.

OW-20 is a common oil these days.
I am aware of that. But that doesn’t mean I would use it. There is only one purpose of that oil in this engine: MPG.

Being Toyota, I bet you somewhere in the manual there is notice that says: “in heavy duty cycle, use heavier oil.”

That 0W20 is repackaged BMW TPT 0W20.
Does BMW TPT also show API SP on the label? The CarCareNut says the bottles showed SP. Additionally, he mentioned the oil cap says, "API SP / ILSAC GF6A RC (Resource Convserving). No euro spec.

Technically, Supra doesn’t need LL17FE as it is on paper, a Toyota product.
Bcs. it is Toyota product, doesn’t need LL17FE.
But, in reality it is BMW product and it has same requirements as, well, BMW products.

Since he took a jab at BMW during an oil change, I will say it is easier to change the oil on BMW than Corolla GR.
I thought he was referring to BMW engines in Toyota cars. He was happy that Toyota developed that engine.

He was talking complexity. You don’t have this or that.
I would rather change oil in my BMW than any Toyota.
He is happy. But complexity is not Toyota’s strong side. That is why Supra is BMW, and their diesels in Europe are BMW ones.
