so one of the things that we needed to get rid of is a tread mill and bike after my moms passing . i tried selling it for cheap like $75 for both . they wer probably never even used by her .

after a couple of weeks linger on FB and CL , i came to the conclusion that no one buys these kind of stuff when they are all over the net for free. some folks even offer money to have them removed.

So i ended up putting them on for free. Even free it took a week for someone to get them . Excercise machines are like hot tubs. Fun in the beginning , but just sit around after the novelty has worn off

life is so interesting sometimes

I sold one last spring when I bought a walking pad, think I did get $75 for it. Still use the hot tub I bought 10 years ago too, so there's that. lol

Try advertising the tread mill and bike as a clothes hanger as thats what ALL tread mills and bikes end up doing anyway after 6 months in the corner of the bedroom...
Many, many moons ago when I worked for a satellite TV company, I averaged about 1000 house visits a year. I couldn't tell you how many times I saw just that.

I agree. Donating to The Salvation Army is one way.
Most won't even take exercise stuff.

Try getting rid of a plug in leaf blower (Toro, used once) and plug in chainsaw (Remington).

$10 each, no takers
Free no takers
3 different charity places, nope

I was just going to throw them in the dump. Wife suggested a "RE" type shop, mostly has wood and fixtures and stuff - and tools. Guy was happy to take them!

Call them a Harley Motorcycle air dryer, you may make $30! Its all how you look at it...LOL but perhaps its just me, as I use my old plug in Toro to dry my Harley after a wash! LOL

Dining room set, anyone? Table with three leaves and pads, 6 chairs, large china cabinet, and a buffet, all in excellent condition.

I saw these showing up in higher-end consignment shops years ago. I understand why now.

I wore the belt out on ours once a while back, but we moved and its much easier to walk outside where I live now so it doesn't get used much.

If I needed another I would just buy new again. I could not move one by myself, and while I have taken this one apart to move it before, I don't know if its worth my time to run around to try to find a used one then try to figure out how to get it apart. If it was someone I knew who wouldn't complain while I spent an hour dis-assembling it then maybe. I guess if I get to where I cannot fix this one I will see?

ARC or Habitat for humanity stores. It depends on the location and their inventory.

Our community does neighborhood wide yard sales twice a year and you see exercise equipment for sale in at least half of the driveways. After the sales are over, you see all of that stuff with "free" and "you take" signs on it 😁.
