Canadian Smoke

Check out the color. It’s really bad.

My area is adjacent to Minnesota wildfire fallout and it’s bad randomly, when “fog” was coming down it seemed to be the worst, air is mildly acrid and makes my eyes water (94 on the scale) but due to budget cuts the warnings of localized severe pollution are probably more accurate.

I’ve been nauseous and il the last few days and low and behold, despite the cherrie pollution score, monoxide levels are quite high, go figure.

I was wondering why my monoxide detector wouldn’t shut off, despite all the windows being closed this whole time.

Everything has an ominous orange hue here in central MA.

This was last evening...

It was something else heading home yesterday; when I was walking/driving south it was all orange, but once I turned north it went to a suddenly unexpected blue sky. I had gotten used that orange hue rather quickly. Looking forward to the better air!

Here in Cleveland AQI is 489... The PM 2.5 is currently 319.9 µg/m³. Never seen it so bad, even with the previous wildfire smoke the past few years!

Thankfully I have and run a trio of air cleaners inside my home and my indoor levels are under 10 µg/m³ per my two air quality meters. Not shabby comparably, but typically I am running under 0.5 µg/m³.... So they are working hard today.
