This is a very well made filter. No date code anywhere. Baseplate was very heavy. Can is very thick. I could not make the media tear or pull out. No extra glue.

Unless the efficiency is trash these are the steal of the century

Do you know where filters are made?

I'm a little confused by Costa advertising these as synthetic media, or maybe blend? Could you do a burn test on the ADBV and see if it really is silicone-because I've seen orange rubber ones before (Bosch Distance Plus ones).
The media looks like a blend

It’s definitely a silicone adbv. I didn’t take pictures but it was nearly impossible to ignite. It produced a tiny bit of white ash

Here First brands goes under.. And look the market already responded with new supply to take their place. Interesting how that happens.

Time will tell if this Costa is good quality, but right now, appears to be good.. thanks for the cut and paste! (y)

It does give strong PGI vibes but I can’t say for sure
They are not connected to PGI ... they only have a "PGI" type of construction. There's a thread about this brand ... supposedly they bought manufacturing equipment from a shut down manufacturer of Castrol SFX filters and started this brand line.
