Pronto/PG PG4651 New C&P

I bought this filter off RockAuto for $2.19 and have been running the extended version for around a year now and have cut multiple open and they always look great, they go for $5.44. I bought this filter just to see the quality of it before I run one, and wow I was surprised. I was expecting to see paper end caps and at least a glued on pleat crimp. But this looks very similar to the PG4612EX, which is over double the price. This is made in Malaysia.

Please let me know your fellow opinions but I see no flaws with this filter for someone running a basic 5k mi OCI, which I do. I run 5k mi on my 2001 vic and 3k mi on my 2001 Mustang.

Nice even pleats going around the filter, nice metal end caps, nice metal crimp, glue isn't sloppy.

Previously dissected PG4651EX vs the PO4651, different but similar.

Agreed, it's wild how lots of the more expensive filter manufacturers have small louvers instead of holes like this.
