I bought this filter because it was on wholesale closeout at RockAuto, and I already was buying closeout parts. For $1.22 from Famous Brand I can't complain, and I don't see why this filter wouldn't work for a normal 5k OCI. This filter does look the worst out of the other two closeout filters I purchased.
It was made in China.
New EcoGuard vs a Pronto PO4651EX. A very big height difference.

This is a Pronto PO4651 vs the X4651. This is the "same" filter and interchangeable, but the X4651 sure looks small. I'm sure it's fine but I would never run it.

At least there are plenty of pleats and they are even.

Could you cut out the filter media and measure? Sometimes they can pack in more media in a short cartridge with deeper pleats. Doesn't look likely in this case but I'm curious.

The media area can be calculated by making two measurements and counting the pleats. Just need the right scale to measure how deep the pleats are. Here's an example.

Both look good for 5K OCI's. Holes in the center cores, and no glue protruding. I'd run either one in my beaters.

Haha hell no, this is a cheap one off of amazon and has worked well enough. Sadly it does not go small enough for the PG4612EX filters.
Even with the two rollers in the holes closest to the cutting wheel?

I didn't even thing that I could move the two bearings to those holes, I'm sure they would fit then. I wonder how many used PG4612EX filters I still have...
