BOSCH premium 3312 new oil filter cut open

To clear the air on this I cut open the media.
The plastic mesh is on the outside AND the inside.

Wow, looks SUPER! Perhaps Bosch saw or heard all the negative comments about the hecho en Mexico Bosch Premium filters and said "enough". And while bypass looks similar to Thai Denso, unlike the Toyota, topic appear to have endcap integral bypass. A plus, imo. Some of the Toyota Denso WCW has flashlight tested have failed.

I think you stumbled on something good. All the Bosch Premium that had been coming out of RA had been the Mexican made. I wouldn't have bothered trying, they're trash. Wonder if all applications now same as topic at RA or still some of the previous still in RA stock. Guess time will tell, 3323 would be of interest to me.

Thanks for c&p.

Doesn't the mesh need to be inside the media?
Yes, and it is, very unusual, and the specs reflect a purolator format of using the 3500 series. The Toyota Denso style bypass parts are better than the common hooks on the springs seen on out of business until China takes over Fram. Only have seen that metal cap on Toyota oil filters.
It’s good for the old folks here to keep their minds active with a bunch of unusual oil filter stuff.

Looks better than anything the American factories have put out in the last few years.
Bosch could make them in a factory here and look just as good. Toyota and Honda and others make the whole car or truck in America. My Purolator Boss recently made look excellent. If not for the black glue mess the lower tier look good too.
