Bye Bye to my Toyota !

He had a different exp. Not everyone has the same exp. Would I buy a Toyota again? Heck yeah. Our family has owned 3 over the years and every single one has been great.

Personally I can't wait to get a sienna in a few years. It can join my 03 Tundra and 09 pontiac Vibe-ota in the driveway as my Malibu hits the road. The Sienna's coming out now are redesigned, but every time I check out the 2nd gen at an auto show, I like it better than the Honda. I've never driven any minivan though. I rode in a GM van (venture?) a few years back and it was cushy!

I'll NEVER buy a Toyota again. What's that old saying? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...

I don't care if it breaks. But I will not tolerate being talked to like an idiot, and being told the problem does not exist.

I have a sienna and let's just say that, that prolly will be my last toyota, except for an ol landcruiser I might get to go mudding.

VERY VERY cheaply done, I mean if ya look at the seams of the welds, arrr, very sad with the overall quality of the van, the only bright side is thepower train,
mpg, dropped to 23 on hwy, I have a 100k warr and went to get stereo replaced, they refused saying it sounds fine to them,

back to honda for me.

not sure why the cat was bad that soon, but each brand has certain things IMO they cannot make well. I have not had any problems with may 95 accord (348K miles) but the 2dr window regulator design seems to be a bad one---actually replaced 3 times from breaking, and the previous owner only had it for about two years and the records showed she had the glass bolt tightened about 4 times... my 05 durango is fine but the seats' plastic trim seems brittle and has cracked from normal use. anyway---all brands will have a weakness. It's interesting how someone can have such great luck with a brand and the next person will describe tons of problems. a lady at my work was telling me how much they hated their honda that had tons of problems----supprised me

I think those looking at minivans should take a look at the Grand Caravan/T&C.... If you are not dead set on a minivan, look at something like the Ford Edge/Flex, or Chevy Equinox (2-row) or GMC Acadia (3 row) crossovers.

My friend had an 08 or 09 whatever year Camry Hybrid. I hated that car, it was so garbage inside. I'm not surprised by any of this. I like Hondas much more.

I have quite a lot of friends in detroit who bought a dodge/CRYsler (spelling intentional),
leaky tranny, this falling off, that going bonks, u name it. I will ride a unicycle before I a buy one of these.

with reduced sales, car makes including toyo are looking at ways to cheapen the vehicles, sad

Sometimes...

I like Toyotas for the most part. But....I must admit to hearing a fair amount of negative complaints about the Sienna. I've only been in one once and found it to be rather uncomfortable and non-descript.
As for the newer Ford Expedition? I would LOVE to have one. Especially the extended length version. Great looking, powerful, and a comfortable ride. Only real drawback would be mpg's.

I only buy Japanese cars that are made in Japan...seem to have less issues...actually no issues. Withthe exception of my 1995 Q-45 which was a total lemon. I also had a Mazda MPV that sucked too. But I had 6 Nissans that were fine. and 4 Toyotas that were fine and 1 Honda that was fine. So in 13 Japanese cars...11 were problem free.

Except for 2 AC compressors, our 05 Sienna treated us much, much better than our 96 Quest - built back in Ford's dark days of Nasser...

I bought a new new Toyota Tacmoma in 2002, the truck had more squeeks, and rattles then a 200 year old wooden house. The dealership was helpfull though. They found a noisy cluch pedal, noisy hvac fan, but the 3rd noise I would call a chirp, they never found out what it was. It drove me f'ing crazy, I ended up trading it in on a new Ford Ranger. Which had its share of dumb problems aswell, but not noise related...

Our 2005 Toyota Sienna LE8 is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I bought a 2010 Highlander during America's witch hunt of Toyota becuase of my experience with my Sienna. I expect this Toyota will serve me just as well...

Toyota fan here but if I were interested in a minivan,I would definitely go with a Honda Odyssey in a heartbeat.

FWIW, we've had no complaints about our 2008 Sienna. Ours must have been made on a Wednesday.
