Brembo UV coating longevity

Anyone have any long term experience with this coating? The rotors look good but I can’t find any long term experiences on the longevity of the coating. How have they held up against corrosion for those who have used them?

I had a set of brembos on my rogue with the matching pads. The rotors were great, the pads not so much. I went two full Ohio winters before I had enough of the pads and switched everything out. I still have the rotors in the back of the garage, they didn’t warp and still look better than 90% of the cars next to me at a red light.

The only time that I used BREMBO rotors, they were the uncoated and the rotors were fine but they rusted like any other.
I would assume that the coating on the BREMBO's will be like any other in that, when it wears off from weather, it's gone...period! Being BREMBO, I would also assume that they use a better coating than lesser rotors.

I like the coating that DURAGO Rotors use(from RockAuto). It looks nice & thick in either Gray or Black. In my area of the northeast, it doesn't seem to matter which rotor I use on any of our vehicles as they corrode to the point of needing replacement anyway!

I do agree these pads are definitely lower tier. I had the fronts installed on a Rogue they were noisy and dirty maybe dirtier than the OE semi-metallic pads. Wasn't impressed to say the least.

I used the NAO pads. They weren’t dirty but so little bite that every stop was white knuckled. That’s probably a little bit of an exaggeration but they were bad.

Carried the brembo name but far from any of the characteristics. I read it’s common for the 14-19 rogues to have a lazy pedal anyways so that’s a poorly designed booster

It does no doubt. It isn’t necessary the heaviest suv but having rear calipers the size of what a motorcycle would use doesn’t help either. I went back to ebc greenstuff pad yesterday and they give you that solid pedal feel that I like. Ebc doesn’t recommend burnishing in their pads so they aren’t quite there yet. But a huge improvement. Now I just have to deal with the awful dust they make.

Yep. Their AM rotors are good though compared to some of the other crap out there.

Definitely an undersized rear caliper design I personally feel Nissan should have just spec'ed the Rogue with the larger 320mm front rotors and dual piston calipers like on a 3rd row model. If you look at Subaru's line up they chuck a dual piston caliper on the front of every model or at least did in the past.
