So true! So many recommendations with "It's always worked for me" endorsements.
I've been using Sil-Glyde for the past 15yrs or so, but I can't say I've had perfect results with it. It seems to turn to more of a glue over time. I've tried other greases with the same result.
I've had a jar of Permatex ceramic extreme brake lube for years. The purple stuff. I see guys online use that for pins and all. I've only used it for pad backings and under clips, etc.
I live in the rust belt and it's brutal on brakes.
