Following up on my recent post about an Avalon replacement… here’s my new Camry. I also test drove a Prius. Camry had more headroom, rear air vents, and I didn’t like the Prius shifter. I had intended to buy a base LE model with the convenience package, but they only had one in white at the dealership we bought from. Considering the SE meant dark cosmos was a color option, which was our favorite. I will be getting different skins for the black wheels, as well as removing the black overlays on the chrome emblems. First dealership sales guy wasn’t budging much on price on the LE and straight-up told me he would rather sell it to someone paying more. No way was I going to pay $37K OTD for an LE. So, we drove to a competing dealership and bought the SE for $1,100 under invoice.

Nice! Enjoy and thank you for sharing.

For future reference block out the plate, I know you're in Texas, but you never know what type of strange people this forum may attract.

Very nice! Should be 20 years of near trouble-free ownership. Those black overlays are expensive so you might find a buyer for them. Did you cross shop the Accord?

Nice looking and should serve you well for the next ten or fifteen years.
The fuel economy will be nice although you do give some up in moving to the LE.

Nice colour. Very similar to my 2000 BMW 528i.

I know people cover their license plates when they post photos. But I wonder why. Should we also cover up our license plates whenever we're driving so no-one can see them?

Congrats on the new ride!

My GF's daughter recently leased a 2026 Camry, and she let me take it for a test drive. As an Avalon owner, I was impressed.
Comparing the two, it really only lacked the power of the V6. I was especially impressed with how seamless the transition was from battery to engine and vice versa. There's no doubt Toyota has perfected the hybrid system.

I hope you get many miles of smiles from your new car.

Nice, congrats!

We have the previous gen, non hybrid. Solid car. It will still get 40mpg in the summer.

We got to look at a fully loaded '26 SE AWD a while back and the interior was downright handsome! Couldn't justify the $40K price tag, but Toyota did a really good job on the interior.

I have often thought the exact same thing, every time you leave the house they are on full display to the whole world.

Ever seen someone furiously scribbling down all the plates in a parking lot so they can “find” people later? I haven’t. LPRs don’t count that’s LE related.

Nice car OP.
