BMW branded LL01 oil?

Nah. Went to check price of DISA valves for my 3 stage intake project.so, saw it on the floor while I was waiting lady to check stuff.
Oh that's right. IIRC only the E90 330 had the 3-stage intake. I remember when 328/325 owners were looking into that modification. How's it coming?

I found 3 stage on ebay for $100. But I don’t want to use used DISA valves.
Both valves are with discount I get around $800.
Bimmerlabs offers free ECU flash. They basically did flash of European version (meaning 91 is minimum) and they claim 265hp and around 225lb-ft.
So I have that left and conversion of F30 brakes in front from 335/435 and rear from E82 135.

Nice. That's about the same HP as the E90 330. What F30 brakes are you planning on using? M-Sport, M-Sport Line, or M-Perf.

So 330 for NA market had 255hp and 221lb-ft. The issue is specific DME as X5 had 268hp. But they claim 265 so we will see.
At HPR my max speed is 107mph in 60f weather, or 103-104 around 96f temperature. Will see what 3 stage does.

As for brakes, I will run basic non-painted calipers (I will order on G2 specific Monte Carlo paint) and 340X30mm rotor.
So, reason for going that way is that I really don’t have issues with brakes except if I run track more than 20 laps in one session. Bcs. I have oil cooler from 335 I can stay now on track as long as I have gas. Last time I was tracking was so hot (102f) that people left early and I was alone for one session 40 some laps long. That is when I noticed brake fade midway through. Now, I could go Pagid RSL, PFC etc. pads but they are really expensive. On F30 all those brakes use same pad size just different compound. Base have low dust-low bite compound and M-Sport P337 have also same compound except rotor is 370X30mm. S2NHA brakes have lots of bite and lots of dust, and that is what I will run as daily on base rotors. On track I am thinking larger pad will dissipate heat better and allow me to run EBC Yellowstuff without problems or HAWK HP+ Etc.
Another thing is 340X30mm is already overkill for my car and going 370X30mm means more unsprung weight and minimum 18” wheels which means limited selection of winter tires.
Now, the rear are real issue. E90 330/328 had performance package where brakes were same as 135. I didn’t want to go front as calipers are super heavy and pistons are known to crack on track.
Rear 135 and 330/328 performance package have same calipers of course, but although rotors are same size (324X22mm) hat is different and shoes on E90 cannot fit 135 rotor, which means specific E90 rotor. Well, bcs. BMW sold very few 330/328 with performance brakes availability is horrid. BMW OE rotors (only come slotted and drilled) are $175 a piece. Zimmerman are actually $5 more expensive. Which left me only with DFC as an option (slotted and luckily dimpled only) for $68 a piece.
Another problem I might encounter is master cylinder. Some say that going F30 makes pedal slightly softer and solution is master cylinder from E90 M3. So I will see how that plays out.
I tried calipers already to see fitment. Had to get used 17” from F30 as my 17” didn’t clear calipers (current rotors are on):

Very cool that you can do this stuff while stiffs like myself and pondering how to justify $150 on a mobile scan tool. Rofl

So, I did not want to spend on 3 stage intake more than $150. They usually go $250-300. But it is not something I need, so I limited my budget. I was waiting a year to stumble on one that is below $150. Ony thing I won't cheap out are DISA valves.
I paid wheels $300, all 4, in real good condition.
The reason I don't mind spending on this car is that initially, I was about to get $40k SUV that would replace my X5 bcs. I needed more space. But I went purposely with a minivan as it is more practical, and I saved like $12k. Bought this E90 for $10k, and slowly treating my midlife crisis :)

LL01 oils are everywhere.

Even in the UK you can buy them at Costco

Castrol 5w30 that meets LL01 was under £25 for four litres a few months ago.

I used it in my S350d as two bottles filled it exactly with a filter change.
