BITOGERS, which hot dog are you eating?

However Costco makes it, with ketchup.
I don’t need any condiments on my Costco hot dogs (or on the polish sausage I had today)

So being from PA I assume that's a no on Scrapple?
Scrapple is a SE Pa thing. Dad was from there so he’d get some when down that way. He moved to NW Pa where I grew up and nobody ate it or knew what it was unless from there. He’d get some from somewhere once in a while and mom wouldn’t even be in the kitchen when he fried it for breakfast. Thanks for the memories. RIP dad.

I rarely stray from the local favorite hotdog brand, Berks. It had been named Berks Hostess for many decades. All beef is my favorite.

Scrapple has become harder to find here, in the heart of scrapple land. No longer typically found in most supermarkets. Some meat shops or better yet, a hobby producer are the best sources for better scrapple.

Thought I had heard of most everything to eat in the US until I was transferred to Central Pennsylvania.

In Central Pennsylvania was the first time I heard of scrapple. Not only was scrapple common in Central Pennsylvania grocery stores, scrapple was also made by locals and given away as a prized treat.

Scrapple wasn't a match for my taste, but enjoyed the passion for scrapple in the state of Pennsylvania.

Okay , central-SE PA. Believe me it's not a thing in all of PA. I worked in a local butcher shop through high school that along with public retail would process whole hogs and beef quarters for local farmers and scrapple wasn't made. We got the carcasses in not long after they gave their last squeal or moo. My hometown is along Interstate 80 about 90 miles from Ohio.

I couldn't eat it.

FWIW I'd be happy with #4 and up if they were brats.
