They took the diced onion dispensers out during COVID in the food courts along with some of the food items.I wasn’t aware onions were ever in short supply.
I don't think it was a shortage thing, it's more about disbursing them while minimising the number of people that come in contact with them.I wasn’t aware onions were ever in short supply.

Apologies, i'm asking a broader scope/question aside from Costco. Onions are weeds.
Sam's still has sauerkraut in the Frank's pouches. Not sure they went away during Covid. Never saw chili at either Sam's or Costco.I want sauerkraut back. Heck - I remember when I used to go to Sam's Club they had those in little pouches.
Yay! Did they need to bring back the chili, too?
They back at my Costco in New York for a few months nowSitting at Costco now eating a hot dog. With onions. Onions disappeared during the C . I go to Costco once a week and just noticed they are back . They are in a cup now at the counter. No more crank machine

Ours has very little seating .No onions at ours, at present.
No hot dogs or food, either.
The food court has been closed for several weeks for refurbishment.
Rumor is that when it reopens, it will be with less seating.
Guess seats don't generate revenue.
