Engineers/Scientists "Blah blah blah centistokes blah blah."

Slighty or somewhat or mostly Off-Center Engineers/Scientists: "Blah blah blah centistokes blah blah."

I started out a solid 3, for sure, and still have flashbacks. Now im a 2,4, I like to change often, and like M1....but Pennzoil Platinum PurePlus and Quaker State Ultimate Durability, can slip into my cars as I like them too. Then I flashback to my old self and use ST or RK syn, go figure,.... I'm a mess, man!

I think a lot of the "Scientists" don't realize that:

1) Just because something is published in a scientific journal doesn't mean it's always true.

2) Even if the conclusions from the scientific article are true, they might be true only under their experimental conditions. Rubbing two pieces of metal together in a lab vs. actual conditions inside an engine.

Then there's the other extreme
"here's my posit. It's true because it's my posit, and it feels like it should be right, and any facts that you might bring to the table are pure obfuscation"

Without even an expenriment to prove it.

And there's the fanboi

"XXXXXXXX just positied the above posit, and because it feels right, it must be true, and he tried XXX in his Ferrarri and nothing blew up, proving it".

I resemble that! I spreadsheeted to pick an oil for my Dodge to find the best combination of specs in 5w40 diesel oils. I think Schaeffer's won. But I went with RT6 because it's relatively cheap and available in every WalMart.
