O'Reileys should get you all the PP you want (in a few days)...

The PP at $3.99 is a great price for a quality SYN (compared to the $10 Amsoil). I'm not knocking Amsoil because it is a top notch product....but the PP at the above price is "the best bang for the buck". Go for it...and buy a few cases.

That's the way I'm leaning. Amsoil seems exactly topnotch but, at more than twice the price...Hard to go with it.

Amsoil seems like a quality product(haven't found anything but positive recommendations), but at 10 bucks a quart it is expensive. Any recommendations for bulk pricing to get the cost down a bit? - BUT! it's only about 25% more expensive than regular priced synthetics...

Go see how long the $3.99/quart people are using their oil for. Then factor the cost per mile. They'll rationalize it with "it's cheap insurance" ..or "I sleep well at night" ..or "oil's cheap, engines aren't" and so on, but when you factor the $/mile, they're paying quite a bit for the privilege of being cheap.

I have $1/qt Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 in E430 for 10 months/10k miles, $1/qt Synpower 5W20 in for 12 months/12k miles and I plan to keep the current M1 mixed of 0W20 and 15W50 in the engine for 12-13k/12mos, I paid $2/qt plus tax for M1. I use syn oil to its full potential, not 5-6k miles as some do.

If I drive more than 25k a year I would use AMSOIL Signature Series, but the car is only driven at the rate of 12-13k a year and any on the shelf syn oil is good up to that mileage.
