the very best even better (i believe) then zaino is finish kare products and also griot's garage products which they make some of zaino's products for zaino..

Griot's Garage does not make any products for Zaino.

The best one is the one that you actually take the time to use. We all have our favorites so there will be as many different answers as there are people that respond to this thread.

I am having good results with Duragloos 105 TPP Sealant. I also use Duragloss Aquawax after every other wash. The combo seems slick, glossy and beadw water very well. Durability is unknown as I have only used it about 60 days. It seems as durable as any other sealant I have used. Much more durable than waxes. Even so, it is easy to use and much cheaper than most mail order products as I usually pick up most of their products at Carquest or Napa.

Aumpthin' to consider if ye are a typical new conveyance owner.

Over time most but not all humans TEND to devote less time to maintaining their vehicle's exterior.

Over time, no matter what products you use, if you notice the intervals between wash/wax are increasing ye may want to consider minimizing the time and effort to protect the vehicle's exterior.

I don't know of any method to minimize the effort of hand washing (no quarter-in-the-slot or automatic drive-through washes for me) but...... the easiest, quickest, least effort method/product for applying protection to the paint is......

303 Aerospace protectant.

Use just a minute amount, let dry, then a brief rub down with a fluffy cotton towell and ye are set to go.

Ok, so who sells the Black Magic Wet Shine Liquid Wax?

I think I bought some Black Magic Detailing Spray at Wally World a while ago, but I never noticed the car wax because I wasn't looking for it.

Quick question... can paint sealant be applied over multi-time waxed surfaces???

Or, must you clay bar or dawn-detergent-wash your surfaces first, in order to strip the wax?

Thanks!

Dawn first to take the wax off and then apply the paint sealant.
Some people like to use a quality carnauba wax over the paint sealant on dark colors for a deeper color and more natural look.
I like the look of the paint sealant alone.
My favorite is Zaino.
Second and third choices are Rejex and Liquid Glass.

BTW, AutoGeek.net is having a 15% off sale right now. Use SMARTSHOPPER2 as the coupon code.”

The “SMARTSHOPPER2” coupon code does not work are there any others?

Thanks.

If you sign up for their message board, you'll receive a 10% discount code. Or just use DETAILCITY as a coupon code for a 10% discount.

Its hard to beat Zaino for ease of application and durability. The Z2 can be used on paint, plastic and chrome. It can even be applyed and buffed in the sun.

Duragloss also works very well and is easy to use. Most NAPA stores carry it.

To get a great rating in Consumer Reports all you need is $. Plus the "test" was very limited it appears.

This just shows how paranoid people get when they do not see the results they expect, or cant believe.

CR's testing proceedures are VERY detailed, and VERY well documented. Do you have any idea how many companies want to go after CR's results when their product isnt #1? CR has no option but to follow proceedures and keep 100% documentaion about everything they do.

They DO NOT get paid by manuafactures and products come from showroom floors and store shelves as only you and I can buy them. Thats fact.

Why dont they test every availible product on the shelf? Add them up. Anyone with 2nd grade math skills can understand their are often too many products to test at one time. Not to mention new products that come to market before the test is puplished, others discontinued, some not mainstream enough to be commonly purchased by the masses.

If you dont like CR's reports, than ignore them. But dont cry about their reports not being valid. Would that be true, they would have been shut down long ago via countless law suits from deep pocket companies. They can defend themselve VERY well in court, time and time again. That can only be done with unprecidented documentation and proceedures followed.

The National Enquirer can defend themselves very well in court too.

On a side note on the spell checker you can use the new version of FireFox (2.0) that has one built in.

The most important step to protecting and making your paint look the best is claybar'ing the paint first!

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/detailingclay.html

I have used Clay Magic that I bought from Auto Zone. The lube that comes with it runs out before the clay does. I bought Meguiars Quick Detailer and used it as lube for the clay.

Mother's California Gold Clay System is supposed to be good also.

Also try Meguiars NXT Tech Wax.

Good Luck.
