My neighbor having about 4-6 chickens coming over to my yard and destroy and poop on my patio

I text him couple time about his chicken coming over, he mention he keep them in cage.

But it never happen . I don’t want harm those chickens. So don’t tell me to shoot them.

I just need something to repelling them away.

My dogs like them chase them but I just don’t like it lol.

My city having law to protect the chickens so I can’t call the city, I am in DFW Texas area.

I sadly live in town so stray chickens are not an issue for me ( I wish it was as I would love a problem that comes from living in the Country ) so I have no first had experience but chickens don't fly so a low chicken wire fence, chickens look for food / bugs so wonder can something me done to remove and food sources ?
A motion water sprinkler may work??

My neighbors chickens did some bug hunting in our gardens which was ok but the large hens made huge nest holes in the loose soil around my taters and carrots

I told my neighbor

Quick answer: shoot them

Put an ad on marketplace. A nice immigrant family will come "adopt" them.

Me calling my mom right now to get the chickens

I stayed a few nights house sitting at a friends house in suburbian Homestead Florida. After waking early, making coffee and letting the little yapper dogs out and back inside, one of the yappers had a very bloody face. I was horrified. I went into the backyard, and they had played around with a dead chicken.

It turns out someone in the neighborhood also had not appreciated chickens, blasted a shotgun at it and it supposedly flew/died into the backyard.

I learned a little bit about Homestead Florida culture that day.

You don't know much about chickens. A six foot fence might keep the chickens out of OP's yard, but I have seen my chickens fly over a fence that high. To keep the chickens from flying over the chain link fence around their yard we strung baling twine over the top. We also clipped the wing feathers on one side.

Used baling twine has lots of uses.

Perhaps a motion-activated sprinkler with the sensor set up to cover the area where they enter the yard? Getting blasted with water every time they pop over the fence might be a decent deterrent.
