I don't think you have to worry about calcium in your 2.4l DI engine, it is DI turbo engines that can have LSPI issues that can be affected by the calcium level in the oil used. My car was actually recalled due to LSPI!
I have learned that looking for low calcium oils really puts a huge restriction on the brands that you can use, so don't limit yourself that much given that you don't have an engine that would be prone to LSPI. I'd also suggest that a decent 5W30 synth should be fine for your winters, I have to park outside overnight on cold White Mountain ski weekends and start up early in the morning and 5W30s like QSUD and M1 have worked well for me.
I used to live not too awfully far from you, Elgin right near the border with Hoffman. I remember a string of days with overnight lows near -20F when we were in that house, the garage was not insulated at the time and door to it from the kitchen would just radiate cold! My dad was a machinery buyer ages ago and knew Rockford well from the days when that city was a manufacturing powerhouse.
