I just tried out the Mothers Reflections Car Wax and Top Coat on my BMW. I am very impressed with this combination. I will repost after it has been on awhile. I dont know how long this wax is supposed to last.

A friend of my parents who is big into boating always used Garry's wax on his vehicles. It's mainly sold to the boating industry, but works well on cars too. I helped wax his car once, and I liked it. A quick Google showed me they're still making it too.

You can order direct. Check their website at Duragloss.com. There are some other sources besides Napa or Carquest on their website.

Meguiars #26 wax is a very good off the shelf wax imo, i used it for the first year after i purchased my 06sentra. I've since switched over to megs. #20 poly sealant, good stuff easy to apply & remove and provides very good durability.

NXT liquid for me followed by a good carnuba about once a month. I was recently surprised with Black Magic...picked it up a Auto Zone and was impressed with how easy it was to work with (liquid carnuba) and how cheap it was.

I would say I have had good luck with nu finish as well. It is available almost anywhere. It is easy to apply. It seems to last decent.

Have you tried Collinite? I've used NuFinish and I prefer Collinite.

I have used the insulator wax and the solid FleetWax. Honestly (for me) they are harder to use, don't leave a very deep shine. I would rate the durability good and I sometimes use it on my alloy wheels.

But I doesn't outlast NuFinish IMHO

I've never cared for any of the Meguiar's stuff, and I've tried a lot of them. Their stuff is closer to the Turtle Wax end of the spectrum than the Zaino, Duragloss, Klasse end. I tend to lean towards the DG and Zaino stuff over the others. They are pretty tough to beat.

If you have a Harley Davidson dealer near you, you can purchase S100 wax for $15, and it is identical to the much lauded P21S wax, commonly sold in German car dealerships for $35. Try a google search on P21S for detail on it. Goes on easy, comes off easy, looks great.

I use Zaino but if you want a over the counter good product, try Rejex.
New synthetic polymer technology produces a much better shine and protection then the 30 year old formula solvent loaded Nu-Finish.
Many True Value hardware stores carry Rejex.

So I wasn't dreaming when I smelled a bottle of NuFinish, and it smelled like gasoline?

I tried it once and it never impressed me.

So after swearing by Liquid Glass, i have found a new favorite. Collinite no. 476s. I have never seen water bead the way it does with the 476s, i am very impressed so far. I hope it's as durable as i hear, well worth the $15 i paid if so.

i agree that duragloss 105 is the best deal for 10 bucks.

s100 is excellent to top the duragloss, and if you want something that looks more like a wax then a sealant. Collinite is your answer.
