Best Cleaner For Glass Interior?

What is this newspaper you speak of? I can’t remember the last time I seen someone reading the morning news, or on someones driveway.

Newspaper used to be the way to go but now that most people don’t subscribe to one it’s a era gone by.

Not too long ago I used newspaper to clean windows and the resulting mess turned me off completely. Todays newspaper is not the same. My experience was that the paper came apart when wet and left bits and pieces on the glass.

Get a good microfiber glass towel. It will last for many years of usage.

Grocery stores still carry them in my area. Yes it is not durable like it used to be and is probably a good bit thinner but I find it is still my best readily available choice.

Hey Folks,

Thanks for all the responses. Canadian Tire carries Invisible Glass and I've been using it ever since finding out about it in this thread. Works fantastic, I am a customer for life. I even did all my family's cars and told them about the product. It is frankly life-changing for the nighttime driving experience improvement. And when driving directly into the sun. I never did find the Spray-Way cleaner anywhere around here, but Invisible Glass is easily found and works great enough.

I have the best luck with newspaper.

I get a film on my windshield and I've never used anything on the dash or elsewhere other than a water damp rag. Maybe it's from 3 years/40,000 miles ago before I bought the car but it's still getting a film.
What is a newspaper? :p

Many years ago, I was a self employed 14 year old that delivered the The Milwaukee Journal.

That was then. Hard to find any now.

I started using armor all glass cleaner inside &* out and results are good. Much cheaper than invisible glass over here

Try this:
- 60% water
- 20% alcohol (70% alcohol is fine)
- 20% distilled white vinegar
- 8 to 10 drops of Dawn in a 2 quart bottle.

Shake well. Amazing and cheap!

Canadian Tire / Home Hardware have Spray Way down east.

Rinseless wash like DIY Detail and ONR are great for glass. If it's more serious, AutoGlym glass polish (this one is not really an abrasive) but it is pretty noxious.

My local store has Zep streak free glass cleaner for $2.08. Is this cheaper and better? It seems to work pretty well for me.

London Drugs carries Spray Way if there are any around you:

A lot of people in the industry swear by Spray Way but having used both, the difference wasn't enough for me to notice. I think the microfiber towel made a bigger difference

Except for the scent. IG doesn't have a pleasant scent, but it's weak and doesn't linger.

SW has a strong scent that does linger. Sometimes it's tolerable, sometimes it isn't. A piece of glass in a room in the house, fine. A confined space like a car, no.

If SW made a scent-free version I'd probably buy more of it, since the IG aerosol cans are getting harder to find. I don't like their pump trigger or aerosol trigger bottles.

Trace-less by Bilt Hamber is pretty good or Rinse-less wash. Take a 5 gallon bucket and mix rinseless of your choice with water, dunk a microfiber in the bucket and wring out really good. Wipe the window, then take another dry microfiber and dry. Streak free results all the time. 😉

Just tried Gtechnique G6 Perfect Glass and it’s the best glass cleaner I have tried ( no strong smell ).

Bilt Hamber traceless glass cleaner is a close second but the smell is overpowering, especially when cleaning the interior windows.

This works well for me, especially since everything we own is tinted.
