No one mentioned Surf City Glass Cleaner. While I agree that technique is more important than the actual product, I found that SC GC doesn't streak even in direct sunlight while the others do. Some of the guys on Autopia swear by it, and it's worth a try for $12.99 for a 2 liter refill with free shipping. Next, I'll try Hope's Perfect Glass if Amazon still has it for a good price.

I deferred to the board's consensus and bought some Stoner Invisible Glass cleaner. Works pretty good ... the glass is extremely clean and clear to look thru.

But it sure was tough using a microfiber towel.

First time I ever used one on windows. I found it difficult to wipe the glass. Seemed to "stick" to the window and not move easily. Tried applying a little Stoner to the MF towel itself and it moved over the glass a little easier when I did that. But when I was finished the glass was full of smears. So I ended up going over it with a paper towel one last time and it looks great.

Yeah, some of the glass towels out there are really grabby as the little fibers grab at the glass and don't glide over it. That's why I use a waffle weave glass towel, it does the same job but glides smoother. Still, sounds like you've got a good setup now. The towel and the glass cleaner will remove 95% of the crud while the paper towel will remove the last little bit. Glad its working for ya. Perfect glass is one of life's little pleasures.
