Are Armor All cleaner wipes OK?

Providing they mean cleaning in the real sense of the word, that sounds right. They are cleaning wipes, not dressing wipes. They shouldn't be leaving anything on the dash (hint, put a dressing on after using them.)
 
Brian,

Just use a microfiber towel slightly dampened with water. It will do the trick just fine and save you money. Keep the cleaner wipes for the times you need to clean something; door panels, arm rests, center console, etc.
 
Eh, the reason I use the cleaning wipes is they are the most lint-free thing I've found for interior cleaning. Besides, they aren't expensive at all.
 
Yes, but they aren't disposable when they dirty up, either.

Anyway, this is beyond the point. I just waas wanting to make sure it was clarified that the Armor All Cleaning wipes are not doped up in actual Armor All protectant.
 
Meguire's and Mother's are topnotch. Armor All, specifically their tire cleaners are very bad, tend to be more acidic then base which causes the tires to dry/rot. The only decent cleaner they make is the Tire Shine GEL which is very good.

Most of the time for tires I use Eagle1 which is a division of Ashland. Meguire's 3 step and 1 step waxes are out of this world, but Zaino is by far the best of the best. IF you have a free day, drop Zaino onto the car about 3 or 4 times and your car will look WET(that wet look) for weeks, months even.

An interior spray that is clear usually contains some sort of petrolium product in it. The Meguiers NXT interior spray is garbage. It is greasy and contains petrolium distillates. Not all meguires products are great!!! At least the Armour All is water based now. It seems to be pretty decent. Better than their old formula.
 
Megs interior QD is good. Add a bit of Zaino Z16 to bump the gloss up. Armorall is water based and is safe.

The reason I asked is almost all interior dressings I have seen are clear in color. The only one that I can recall seeing that isn't is Armor All; which looking back now, is essentially diluted water based dressing packaged up all pretty.
 
Water based products tend to be whitish in color. If it is clear and greasy looking avoid it like swine flu.
 
The clear dressings tend to have high solvent content. This is especially true of tire dressings and can destroy the natural oils in tires and lead to sidewall cracking.
 
I like to keep it simple when it comes to interior cleaning.
I find that plain warm water and a microfiber towel work the best. If I got some tuff stains, usually an all purpose cleaner diluted 10:1 takes care of them.

For dusting, the Swiffer Dry Cloths work very well in removing dust, I use them as a quick wipe when the dash is clean but a bit dusty and they don't affect the finish at all.

There are so many products these days that pretty much do the same thing, some give more shine, some don't, I prefer a matte finish and water gives me just that.

I do use the UV protectant (like 303) every once in a while.

Hmm, not saying this is not true, I've just never had problems myself. I have never noticed cracking on the sidewalls though due to tire dressing; more so due to age. I am however, trying to use up all of my "clear" products simply because I like the dilute-ability of the water based dressings I have, and they clean off easier obviously.

I've found that 303 is a dust magnet. The best tire dressing I've ever used is Stoner's Less Time More Shine. This stuff is also not silicone based so it doesn't destroy the natural UV protectants that are built into your tires. Great stuff!
