Way back when, out in the Western states, there was a touchless car wash that cleaned perfectly. It pre treated the car with a chemical that smelled a bit like Windex Outdoor Glass cleaner. Let it soak for 20 seconds or so, then pressure washed off the dirt. I'd take the cars off road canyon racing, and not worry that they'd be filthy when it was time to go home.

Anyway, I tried Windex Outdoor glass cleaner on my car and truck, worked incredibly well. It dissolved the FL bugs I get driving out to PHK airport, and rinsing left the car and truck spotless, and water beading like crazy from the Griots ceramic wax I have on there.

I'm not sure I see a downside. It is the fastest and easiest way I've ever found to wash a dirty truck with near zero effort. Sure, it's not pH balanced like most automotive soaps are and is likely to have a pH of 9. That's what makes it work so well. If you try it, rinse it off properly.

This stuff also works incredibly well on my home windows and my screened in patio.

does their outdoor product use ammonia???...truck looks great...good luck with your choice

Bill
It specifically states "no ammonia" on the container. It has a distinctive smell I recognize, like a new package of visqueen clear plastic drop cloth for painting.

I used this stuff on my jag yesterday as it was full of thousands of bugs. It got 'em all off except two or three. It removes dirt incredibly well, but not metallic brake pad dust. So the wheels came out clean, but the black brake dust inside was still there. Good enough for zero effort.

is it alkaline? most of the stuff that get off bugs and dirt is alkaline. stuff like dark fury . it eat bugs and dirt easily

Most likely it is very alkaline which is why it works but it will weaken any other type of protection like a wax or sealant that was previously applied. Reminds me of when I used to watch that guy on YouTube that used Purple Power to "completely" wash his cars to get off road grime.
